I pretty much want one.

I currently have a 5sp manual, the only work done to it is extractors, high flow cat and a redback exhaust system. Apart from that the engine is stock. Before I wanted to keep

So my question is, with a 15K budget, can it be done..?

I'm thinking CMS stage 5 head and cam package (~3k I think), a decent EMS (~3K with the extra wiring etc), a big mofoing supercharger w 14-20psi boost, intercooling etc (prob about 6-7K although I don't really know), a short shifter ($400 odd) and 3.9 diff gears ($200-300).

So with the appropriate tuning, do you reckon this could rip a 10.**sec 1/4?

I have a feeling the standard T5 wouldn't necessarily handle all that force, but the current gearbox only needs to survive a 1 way trip 8-)

What I'm worried about though is the bottom end.. I know this area can be expensive and I really don't want it to fall apart or get damaged.. really ever.

Any other tips on getting my falcon to make a 1/4 in 10 seconds?

Atomic AU motor! + 3 speed C10 + 4000 Stall + 20 PSI of turbo + 3.7 Locked + Widened 15" Rims on 265's. = 10s

There is a 10 sec falcon in Gladstone ( Qld ), its a twin supercharged 4.0, in a EA/EB/ED.
Thats all the info I have, apart from he uses second hand bottom ends, and just swaps over the top end.
I think the superchargers are those little ones that Toyota used on the early Supra's.

You don't need that much power for 10s if you can drop a bit of weight and have a decent trans.

Mikes Dyno/Jetsons EA still uses stock bottom end and has gone 9s, with a XR6T turbo.
Do your research, look at what others have done/are doing.

But I'll call it right now, and it's something that doesn't get called enough on these forums any more... dreamer.

I woud assume to run a 10? LOL
Why does anyone build a fast car that doesn't fit into a class?
Why the f**k not basically

I reckon it's doable for 15k, if you have your head screwed on and know your s**t.
Basically if you don't have to post on a forum asking if it can be done, you are probably capable of doing it

Jetsons EA would have to be around the 15k mark.
