My exhaust is a custom made 3'' with a gt rear stock system and pm4495 headers with 100cel cat.
my car gets tuned and played with a fair bit my cousins a sct tuner so he just emails me tunes to test out.

i see, yeah i keep getting told my exhaust is letting me down as im running 2.5 all the way through - xforce everything.

would love to do some head work however it is quite expensive so may just forget that and get a charger installed. lol.

i bet its exhaust shops that are telling you its whats holding your power back to sell you somthing.

yes a 2.5" zorst system can be restrictive... at maybe 300 rwkw, not 167...

nah i havent really spoken to any exhaust shops, it was mainly guys on various forums that have proven numbers however im not too worried as i know mine was run on a purposefully conservative dyno - and i have full trust in the guys that did the work, it feels really really strong across almost the whole rev scale. im loving it - but i must say after now spending the dollars im a bit attached which is why i will probably end up spending big bucks doing things the hard way by s/charging her lol. but we shall see what happens ive had at least one really decent trade in offer on a turbo just didn have the finances, so i will re-assess in a few months when i know my job in the qld public service isn at risk anymore hahaha. bit of a rant sorry.

As long as your happy with it thats all that matters. your exhaust is probly the restriction. N/a engines need to breath the factory set up is 2.25'' so 3'' is best if your after good gains.

i dont think an FG turbo exhuast is going to flow any better than your current 3" setup...

my current set up is made poorly it was more of a quick throw together due to no after market 3'' set ups around that will match up to my GT rear section

Any updates? And just to clarify, and if you don't mind, can you list the basics of what your car has modified with? I read through most of the thread but trails off a few times so got a bit confused with what exactly you have done to get your car to such impressive figures...
Nice work btw... :)

No updates as of yet. It needs diff bushes and a few other bits and i want to get my cousin to retune it agen on a dyno mods so far are

XR8 Air box and snorkel + K&N
82 degree thermostat
pacemarker 4495
100cel xforce cat
3'' custom made middle section exhaust with a fg GT factory rear set up
power bond balancer
X3 custom tune by my cousin walter markam.

with out the balancer it made 208rwkw 13.6@102mph (I only fitted it because i blew a power steer pump at the drags)

future mods are when i get spare cash as i just bought a house and the mrs a LPI XT.

Modified XR6 turbo middle exhaust
Atomic cams with a custom grind
valve springs
ported and pollished head (possible bigger valves)
and maybe a E85 tune if it comes more avalible.

It might take a few years but in the end i will have one very cranky falcon 6

If your interested in a tune from my cousin facebook Oztekperformance.

So if a Xr6 can do this, what can an FG XT do? Same motor n/a I believe - is this capable of pulling as much power with these mods?

Im a bit ignorant here, but from what I understand, the only difference between the xt and xr6 n/a is the diff's or something?

Thanks!

Xt will be better cause its lighter and softer. get the 6 speed auto but don't even bother with the 5speed even if the car is 2k more its worth it

well just got my car re tuned and on a dyno that was reading 15rwkw low my car made 193rwkw prity happy with that:) (we tested the dyno with a xr8 that normaly makes 275rwkw or there abouts on the same dyno and it only made 260rwkw that day) but thats dyno's for you.
now i just need to sort out the glitches in the trans tune and fix up the rear bushes and i will probly leave it at that.
my cousin (my tuner) just bought a blown 335 gt so my money is going into saving up for one of them what a animal!

Got some info done for my car will be getting it tuned soon he said with just a few tweaks I could be doing 220rwkw and running low 13's or high 12's

220rwkw! What work would that include? Must be a massively worked engine?

achieving a 13.0 isnt going to be easy with 220rwkw, you will need more power... 250+ rwkw
