this confirms that porting does f**k all on these heads...

if u have a look at the ports they look quite good stock, maybe just a small cleanup of casting dags (not that there are many) and port matching....

if u look at the ports on an old 351 for eg, they look totally s**t and its no wonder people port them.....seems modern heads generally dont need much done to them

ill be rebuilding my EF XR6 motor soon and this has convinced me to save the money on head work and put it toward a good cam and tuning instead...

Yup, the castings are alot better then they used to be.

Its a great effort with that sort of power and the time that has resulted. The 60 ft is very good, the MPH is pretty much on the dot with the power levels, I do think there might be a tenth or two with the setup, but I'd say time wise the power is on its limits.

Well done though, a 13 in a NA falcon 6 is impressive.

He was talking about pressure in the tyres, not 22PSI of boost...I think 22PSI of boost would have blown his block just revving it.

True, but a low 1.9 60ft is all ready really hooking up, heck mine does 2.1  . I know scaffy has 1.9's too with a 5 speed and a 3.7 rear, but he has an extra 50 rwkw as well.

Still ya never know, half the fun is trying too. :D

Great time Grechie, always seem to get that bit extra out of the EA. Post up those compression test results when you do them, it will be interesting to see what they are for a comparison. Looks like the upgrade from the 1636 to the 1673 was worth it, any down side to the upgrade.

i wonder what my car would run then because i have had the same head work done as you. but again mines auto so that will take a bit of you cam must be lumpy as hell to pull out that power with no head work
did u notice any differance when you ported the throtle body i wouldnt do that unless i convert to manual.

Mate, top effort there, well done. 13.7 is a great time out of the N/A six, they really are a good engine with the right work done, i'll always have a soft spot for the 4.0L, might have to get another little project on the go.

Its amazing what a pair of slicks can do too, i really have to get a set on the ute, i managed 2.08 on street tyres so a 1.9 would do me nice on a set of DOT slicks.

Once again mate, awesome times!!!

You have some catching up to do Matt. :D As already said awesome time Grechie, those semi slicks look no better than a decent pair of Grid`2 's. Glad you didn't strip your interior out like the BA boys lol.

2 thumbs up, I think you have nailed a perfect combination of mods. A+++ Getting close to Brendans 'drag spec' EB now. This shows that JMM aren't the be all and end all.

Again well done. Be sure to put the time in the Quarter mile registry.
