I have a six cylinder EF with a full exhaust system, redback with advance extractors. I will soon be converting it to T5 but I have read a few people on here get low-mid 14's with just a cam change.
By that rationale, a change to a 3.9 LSD, big mouth cold air induction(maybe polishing of BBM) and stage 3( 4?) cam as well as an eliminator chip and dyno tune should give me a streetable car that could do high 13's.
I read an article on the JMM website, stating that the ute they have would have benefitted from a taller diff ratio; so a short one would do good here?
Also, installing a RIPshift would shave a few milliseconds off the time. Is this possible or is there other things I need to get? Thanks.

Whats ashot of NOS worth? see you into the 13s easy, the other questions is can your tyres handle it?

14.9 in 67 rices ED xr6.. It was a hot night too... I would think its possible if you have a decent engine, run good leads plugs etc.. and everything is in pristine condition as well as modded to the eyeballs... anythings possible!

what about a shot of nitrous to get her going?

HEHE.. that would be funny as hehe with stock exhaust lol...

90% out of genuine interest, and 10% because I love to stir, is there any 13 second EF/ELs in australia at all?
I cannot think of one in Victoria, yet I can think of a handful of EA-EDs.

Dont recall any. Cant see why you would want to use one either when boxcars are cheaper and lighter.

Yup thats my thoughts too.
Safety, comfort, and structural rigidity are over-rated :P

Is there a specification of re-ground cam (Wade or w/e) that mirrors this Crow spec?
Is there a specification more powerful than this, that can still be tuned? Any brand.
I assume this is required on my journey to 13s...

My car is, as far as i know, un-opened, with only exhaust mods, makes 139.7rwkw and ran a 14.97@92.69mph, providing the money is spent in the right areas, a high 13 is available, but the car will not be very well mannered around town (low diff gears means higher revs, manual is necessary) and highway cruising will be a b1tch with higher revs

cool southy, imagine what you would get out of it if you used say a broadband manifold, ported polished head balanced and blueprinted bottom end, decent rods blah blah blah, would be a wicked street machine :D

yeah stages of cam don't mean squat, I know some companies organise stages by agression others by development. as mentioned above, molloy have an R6, that is a development number as opposed to JMM who Dev 5 is bigger than Dev 4 and so on.

Blame the USA for "cam stages". Years ago, it used to be quarter race, half race etc. Cam grinding Companies in Australia were pressured into following this form of marketing, just because America did it.

Now we have stage 1, 2, 3 and so on. It all means diddly, but, we more or less have to do it because America does.

FalconIV why does your profile state your weapon as a XF but you are saying in here it's a EF? just curious thats all.
Try direct injecting some oxy & acetylene into the motor that should pump it up a bit!
You can sit the bottles on the back floor with the piping running past the gear shift and have a variable adjustors on switches to control the boost preasure instead of having it as a on or off switch,
that should make it a 12 or 13 car without taking the head off.minute's burning that is.Just a suggestion mate thats all.
