I have a six cylinder EF with a full exhaust system, redback with advance extractors. I will soon be converting it to T5 but I have read a few people on here get low-mid 14's with just a cam change.
By that rationale, a change to a 3.9 LSD, big mouth cold air induction(maybe polishing of BBM) and stage 3( 4?) cam as well as an eliminator chip and dyno tune should give me a streetable car that could do high 13's.
I read an article on the JMM website, stating that the ute they have would have benefitted from a taller diff ratio; so a short one would do good here?
Also, installing a RIPshift would shave a few milliseconds off the time. Is this possible or is there other things I need to get? Thanks.

Mate there is a lot more in terms of modifications than a cam to get into the 13 second bracket try maybe 10 grand and u will get a high 13 second pass in a e series and maybe 5 grand in a ba !

My old ba made 192rwkw and i got a 14.1 but that was with cams flash tuner, exhuast, and a 3.45 diff i spent 4 grand in total.

Supercharge that sucker with one of capa's kits. 3.9 lsd would help, polishing the BBM wont really do s**t will it?

You wont get into the 13's without opening the head. True people have got into the high 14's with some well matched mods, howvere getting into 13's you will need some air being forced basically...turbo...supercharger.

i think that you shouldnt go by the stage of the cam. Some brands will only have 3 stages but others may have up to 6. Take a look at mollys car. Thats a R6.

90% out of genuine interest, and 10% because I love to stir, is there any 13 second EF/ELs in australia at all?
I cannot think of one in Victoria, yet I can think of a handful of EA-EDs.

There is really no such thing as a "Stage X" cam...its all just marketing BS.

As stockstandard has said....13's without removing the std head has been done (by OED666), and the formula is hardly top secret.

yeah stages of cam don't mean squat, I know some companies organise stages by agression others by development. as mentioned above, molloy have an R6, that is a development number as opposed to JMM who Dev 5 is bigger than Dev 4 and so on.

Dont recall any. Cant see why you would want to use one either when boxcars are cheaper and lighter.
