is that as compared to your current setup before you put cam in? would be good to hear where these wade grinds start to pull from, as its hard to decide between a cresent stage 2/3 or a wade 1636 (for the auto...)

If you dial the cam in, you can have the power kick in earlier or later.

Mine kicks in just after 2500RPM...from there is just pulls till redline (I assume, haven't gone that far yet)

I have one of these cams in my old EL Xr motor.. ran like a bit meh with the EL Ghia (ticky) ECU.

So i took the motor out and put something else in that was easier, runs better and has more power..

Do you have a vernier setup?
I was thinking about maybe +2, if that? I'm not looking for a dyno queen, just want something with a fkn ballsy mid range, and its a bonus if it keeps pulling to redline.

Mine is advanced between 1 and 2 degree...maybe 1.5degree (can't really be measured, but looks that way on the gear) and it kicks in nicely. When the car is cold, it seems to have a nice smooth progression of pull throughout the rev range. When it is warm though, it seems to hit sort of like a flat spot and then kicks in.

I see. I think its std for falcs to have a bit of a flat spot mid rpm, every falc ive drove has done it.
I'll see if I can get it to 2 degrees advanced.

Oh I don't rev out the engine...slow acceleration up to about 2500RPM without any random flat spots. I don't cut sick at it...don't want to blow the head :P

before you worry about that you should worry about that nasty hole in your fuel map.

once we increase your injector pulsewidths by a millisecond and tune your nos timer you'll be running 9's

flat spot would be BBM runners swapping. which is annoying coz with the 3.89's on the au now, changing to 3rd for overtake around 90-100k's puts it right at the changeover point which makes it feel laggy for about one second...

The runners swap at 3800 dont they?
flat spot in mine is about 2500ish, but its not like it dies or anything, it just fukin hauls a** above 2500 compared to under it.
