Proper threshold braking, will out stop ABS every time (and of course both are better than locking up the wheels and sliding to a stop).

Problem is it takes skill and attentiveness that 99% of drivers don't have.

this has turned into an interesting post (well the last bits) with abs on the track or legal street related events a good driver can like drive a non abs car and go wild with his cornering (wild as in really good at it) and the same driver would prefor even better in an abs set up car etc.... in my experiances whatching a many illegal races and many off street public road racing dvds you see various dangerous and ballsy stuff.. from reading this,, this KID it just trying to go faster.. but he should of not worried about asking this queastion until he go on the track or had a lash at some of these events (legal cam stuff) and then thought to ask and explain himself ie

i do this that the other but i am restricted with the limitor etc etc... that is my two sents

I agree with this post definatly, at track is acontrolled enviroment, you have no round abouts, no traffic lights, no side streets, those variables are out of the equation, what you have is a predetermined set of straights and corners designed to challenge your driving and vehicle.. As I said prior.. ABS has saved my a** on the streets plenty of times.

Correct braking teqniques on a circuit do not get employed on the streets.

It is simple tracks are tracks.. go as fast as you want or your skill level will allow, streets are for commuting, you are not driving with other driver who are using the roads as a race track.. (well not all the time) there will always be hoons, I am not touching that topic though.
