why do you want to remove it???

you can remove it by getting a j3 chip with the speed limiter feature removed...

J3 chip is probably simplest - or replace with an ECU with the limiter removed, e.g. Sth African export - see the ECU thread.
You can disconnect the speed sensor input, but being auto, trans will go to Limp home mode because it's also integral with the ECU. You can get around that by using an EA falcon TCM (Trans control module) to handle shifting separately.

It's easy using a J3 chip, but not advisable. Check this out:

ford-interior-f14/how-do-you-disable-speed-limiter-on-ef-model-t67444.html?&start=35

If you go ahead anyway, invest in a driveshaft loop.
