Cheers guys this has helped, I know need a new fan belt and according to one mechanic I also need a camber kit as the inside of my front tyres are rubbing out due to the superlows and 17" BA XR8 rims the tyres its sad because there is so much tread left on the rest of the tyres
Basically I have set aside $1300 for the repairs $440 2 new front tyres $110 Water pump pully $50 Ignition leads $30 spark plugs $60 Syntheic Oil $150 Fanbelt $110 Camber kit $??? Fuel filter $??? I will check the whole engine while I am there as I am pretty sure that i may need some new hoses and general stuff. |

Mate do everything yourself except for the tyres.
That water pump pulley? do you mean the 2 idle pulleys on the tensioner arm?. They are piss easy to replace and stop all that noise. A belt can be picked up by ford spare parts for $55 and yoou only need a 3/8in socket driver to take the tension off the arm and then shove a drill bit etc in the hole. Fuel filter should cost about $20, get a ryco as they have alloy bolt and thread and seal better than steel ones. cheers............... cheers.. |

fan belt wont cost u anymore than $25 and all ya need is a 3/8" t bar to put in centre of idle/tensioner wheel to release tension on belt
10min max and remove fans to make piss easy |

Bleed the brakes every 2 years ( if's it's been more than 4 years you will feel the difference). air and oil filter, check your shocks as they effect rideand braking, bottle of injector cleaner every 5000K's

Cheers I am thinking of doing it my self Except the tyres I think I will need to get more information on the camber kit aswell I will be able to do the service Just trying to not get ripped off as some people have said on other posts some mechanics do the work first and dont give you the option of if you want it done or not.

Gee the belts are getting cheaper and cheaper. You shouldnt have any troubles doing it all your self - there is plenty of info here to tell you how to do it all.
I do tyres my self, they are easy enough - but i do have access to a tyre machine and balancer lol. If you buy a water pump from ford, get a pulley aswell and ask them to press it on for you. save you trying to pull the old one off and press it back on.

BUY a new aftermarket pulley and put it on yourself as cost from FORD to REMOVE is twice + (they have overheads) , take care in fitting 'O' ring on back of pump
