Anyone done it with success?

They flow the same rate at 19lb and have the EV6 quad jet benefit everyone seems to rave about.

Tried finding info but came back with very little.

If I'm not mistaken the stock AU 4.0 injectors flow 21lb/hr - which will allow you the potential to make more power than you'd get with 19lb injectors. They still have the good spray pattern too.

if you want the ev6 4 hole injectors just use the std au 6 cyl ev6 injectors, they are 20lb and have the same plug as the e series..

iirc the au 5.0 ev6 injectors have a different type of plug to the e series???

you can get the adapters though @ $5 a plug. But the AU I6 ones are the go, just get the car tuned to suit.

I was under the impression stock AU 4.0L injectors 0-280-155-844 flow at 14 lb. and
AU V8 injectors 0-280-155-917 (orange body) flow at 19lb the same rate as E-series.
I'm running a stock regulator 270kpa not the 300kpa.

Correct me if I'm wrong I'm just sourcing it from here:
http://www.bulletperformanceracing.com. ... 20155.html
http://www.fuelinjector.citymaker.com/F ... Rates.html

Whats the serial number of the injector that flows at 19-20 lb, EV6 body, 4 jet spray pattern connection to suit EL harness with 270kpa reg.

I'm confused as ever as I've been told the AU1's were 21lb/hr with EV1 connector (small & same as E series) & the later AU's had the EV6 connector (large) & as for the colour - not sure - mine have black tops & assume these to be factory originals as the ute has only ticked over 103,000k's which dosen't make sense with info I've found - unless the 21lb/hr are the black tops.
19lb/hr injectors are orange tops
24lb/hr injectors are blue tops
30lb/hr injectors are red tops
42lb/hr injectors are flouro green tops

not all injectors are colour coded, to match a specific flow rate. the std e series 6 cyl injectors are black and are 19lb pretty much the same as the orange ones..
all au injectors are ev6 with ev1 connectors, even ba are 29lb ev6 with ev1 connector..

AU 6 injectors have the exact same flow rate as e-series 6 injectors if you look on the bosch catalogue.

it really all depends what fuel pressure is run.. ea-ed run 250kpa, ef-el-au 275kpa xr6 is 300kpa , vct is 350kpa..
the higher the fuel pressure the higher they will flow..
so when you look at the injector specs you also need to look at what pressure they were measured at...

Yeah that's what I eventually worked out troyman.
I found that most specs are run at 3 bar which is 300kpa.

Haven't bothered to pursue the injector path any longer as the head gasket's blown and need to spend money on that instead.

So does that mean that if I use 24lb/hr injectors but because I have a 275Kpa reg they would have the same flow rate of 19lb/hr injector or flow at 24lb/hr.
What's the basic difference between EV1 & EV6 injector.

to be honest there is no real point in fitting larger injectors unless you getting over 180rwkw and enough engine work to justify using bigger injectors,
as the ford 6 runs slightly rich with the std injectors...

the difference between the ev1 and ev6 injectors other than the shape, is the ev1 have a single pin nozzel and the ev6 has a 4 hole nozzle.
so the main reason why most go to the au ev6 injectors is the 4 hole spray pattern helps atomize fuel for better throttle responce..

Thanks TROYMAN that's really what I'm looking for but was a little unsure how to go about it, now because you're going from a single nozzle to a 4 nozzle pattern do you need to reprogramme the ECU & I guess stick to Bosch, Siemans or Denso. :D

You can get a set of six new 4 hole type injectors to suit EBII thru AU1 for $165 on eBay.
