G'day, last week i used one of our jerrycans at our house which i thought was just straight petrol and it turns out that it was mixed with 2 stroke oil for my brother motorbike. I used it because i forgot my wallet when i went to the petrol station and i had to drive back, an i wasn't sure if i was gonna make it with the little fuel in my tank. I used about 3 litres worth.

Could this have stuffed my fuel injectors by putting it in. I now no why my car has been idleing s**t this week and when i stop an put it in park it sits at 2000rpm.

Is there any other damage that it could of done or can it do damage.?

nah should be fine, its only 25:1 yeah? it will just burn the oil off, you don't want to do it long term though, but 3 litres will not hurt it. the 2 stroke oil is very fine, will pass straight through the injectors. a full tank of juice will dilute the remaining oil to no nothing anyway.

I've put 2 stroke fuel in mine heaps of times - usually 10L jerry cans and my car has a smaller fuel tank to make room for the LPG tank. never had an issue so far.

You may find that the car may need to be kick started every now and then, plus it may not come into powerband untill around 7000rpm :P

ive got about 20 litres of premixed fuel from last christmas that was in a sealed jerry can. It has 400ml's of marine 2 stroke mixed with it.

Do you think 2-3 litres every week will do damage to my ef?

I don't want to run it in my outboard motor..

If it was my car I'd just tip the entire thing in.
As mentioned above, I often put the old petrol from my boat and motorbike into the car.

But if your worried just put a bit in every time you fill up. But 400mls of oil is SFA to a 60L of petrol.
