Hey all!
Kinda new to the entire modifying thing, so take it easy lol.
I have a 2003 BA XT Falcon, great car, but I want to put on a new bodykit. (eventually I'll get the power upgrades - gotta wait for an open licence, thanks to p-plater restrictions)

I like the looks of the GT-P bodies, but does anyone have any other suggestions as to what I could put on?

Also, would it be hard to do it myself, or would I be better off getting someone else?

Lastly, what will I need to replace? I.E. the headlights/grille/bonnet/tail lights?

Thanks all!

be prepared to pay ALLOT to get it done right.
pretty much it involves the kit obviously, head lights and fog lights will also have to be changed, also painting of the bumpers.

thanks, at least i know where to start lol.
I was told by a mate that the grille between the XR6/GT/GT-P/F6 and the normal XT are different and will have to be replaced if i get a body kit, but as far as i can tell, the grilles are the same shape. which is true?

also, if the grille gets replaced, will that mean i'll need a new bonnet too?

Different grill shapes. The housing for the grill doesn't fit with the bumper ( I found this out myself lol ). And you won't need a new bonnet, as the bonnet just goes over the top.

As for fitting, yes, you are better off getting some one to fit and paint for you. I'm doing it myself, so I can get it sitting perfectly, and then painted I'll give you a run down on what needs to be done.

You will need new headlights (XR6 ones fit), and depending on what bodykit you get, will depend on the foglights you get. The GT foglights are smaller than XR6 ones, if you go for GT style kit etc.

Good luck, and enjoy modding

thanks guys, really appreciate the help.
if it weren't for you, i'd probably be trying to fit xr foglights into a gt front bar while using the standard xt headlights and grille :P

I'd appreciate that info once you're done TheKrazeD, that would guarantee i know what i need to get.

Do you actually have the GT Kit yet? If not, you can get ones that are made to suit the XT headlights, thus removing the need for XR/GT headlights etc. I told the seller that, but he didn't give a f**k. Besides, I wanted new headlights anyway lol
