Hi guys, I have an auto 2005 Ford BF XT, and lately I've noticed quite a loud humming noise every time I drive. Thought it could have been because it was a little overdue for a servie, got it serviced & still there. Kind of sounds like it's driving a gear too high. Help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I'm getting a bit worried & don't have the money for a mechanic straight away.
Thanks! |

Does it makes the noise in any particular speed/gear, or at a certain rpm moving/stationary?

It makes the noise no matter what speed, gear or rpm, gets louder the higher I accelerate & you can hear it lower when I brake. Doesn't make the noise at all when I am stationary.

can you pin point what part of the car the sound comes from? could be a wheel bearing/diff bearing?
