Look, If ya can sorta use your head to picture this, your doing well. Basically, you have to unbolt the intake manifold off the side of the engine (you may have to do this in 2 pieces, like the top of the manifold with the throttle body, then the intake piping) From there you will see the fuel rail, Injectors and fuel regulator. Off memory, the fuel rail retaining bolt is near the fuel regulator. Its just a matter of disconnecting the wiring off ya inkectors, Undoing the retaing bolt and disconnecting your fuel regulator, Fuel lines and yanking on the fuel rail. Your injectors will be connected to the rail. If you look on the top of the injectors (Rail Side) You will see they are attached to the Rail by little square clips. Just pop them little suckers right off. And they should just pull out.
Your best bet for a better description is to buy yourself a work shop manual! You will find it will also be handy for many other problems that you may come across Wade |

this particular old school pushrod engine is a very hidious peice of machinery, it never seems to work right, consumes mass amounts of fuel and revs like a bucket of s**t. The idea that the bucket of s**t is limited to 4 grand.
I personaly know this. i owned one. The carby version has turned out to be more fuel efficient, more reliable, and go harder than a POS first gen EFI falcon motor. Personaly, i'm going to dump the carby 250 x-flow outa mine and got for and ED 4.0l. tough as, reliable, marginaly better fuel economy, s**t more power. |

I had nothing but problems with mine aswell. I have been thinking that there could be a blockage in the fuel rail/ pressure reg, or im thinking it could be electrical. is it possible to tell if the injectors are firing?

ok, i have got the car running but it is running like a POS. It wont idle and i can only get revs slowly if i put my foot down it just dies...but if i slowly gain revs it seems normal? does this still sound like a fuel related issue?
cheers
