yeh but v8's are heavy and to get any good power to match wat the turbo 6 would be you would need to spend another couple grand to get it up to scratch....

just go turbo setup, be the same if not cheaper than getting ur N/A setup over 200rwkw

check these guys out u get a basic system for about 3 gs and if u do this your self you could save heaps
then after that get bigger injectors and re maped ecu (chiped) for about $1500
so its not overly expensive tones of ford fans have done it

Err no.
Wet shot thats not too crazy is completely safe if you pull a bit of timing out.

Next you'll be telling him to be careful of the welds on his intake manifold

what drugs are you on?

every engine i've ever put nitrous on (NOS is a brand name) have had stock cranks in them.

the XD in that thread has stock crank stock rods and cast pistons. it gets a 150hp shot of gas.

http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... 5&start=20

i've done stock LS1s, stock holden 5L, stock holden pre ecotec V6s,
a few ford 4L engines, and escort 2L with stock crank and rods.

so is driving around with a turbo on an E serries falcon, and so is driving a highly modded N/A engine.

at least with nitrous you can take the bottle out and cap the lines off.

dont go turbo man, save for a super charger, youll pick up a decent one cheap, youll make your 250kw, and the power will be there consestently, not like a turbo

but if your chasing high numbers you may aswell get the turbo, if your only looking for 250kw super charge it

What do you base that on?

if your only chasing 250kw. a turbo is by far the better option.

a smallish turbo running low boost combined with reasonably high compression (9:1 - 9.5:1) will easily get 250kw and will be on full boost way befor any centrifugal supercharger will.
