Put in something that doesn't sound like it's chewing rice.

Yeah i'd smash my own windows if i put a chev in me el. Then my mates would bash me. I know wat your saying though bout chev being easy to work on an cheap parts.
I wasn't plannin on keeping it rego'd but i dont think it would be too hard as its a litre smaller in capacity it'd be the turbo that they wont like

Ok you are right, i better tell the thousands of guys with 10-12 second n/a lsx's that they are s**t engines because some bloke that drives a f**k 6cyl EB said so.

Bushman harden up. You say you would smash your own windows if you put a chev engine in your el. Whats the difference with putting a bloody TOYOTA motor in it? And you winge when people don't like your idea. It's a forum man, if you don't want to hear peoples opinions then don't post up stupid threads like this that will never happen anyway.

2jz FTW, the only thing is wiring, do it. I know of a 2j VN, why not a Falcon?

Because the commies have had ricer engines in them before, think the old skyline drive train they had.

At the end of the day you can put what ever engine you want in, but i for one would rather stay true blue and plant another Ford engine in it, whether it be a phoon engine or the like, either engine option is going to cost s**t loads. It reminds me of those guys that put orange motors into the old 30's and 40's Fords.

In the end it comes down to Bushman as to what he wants. Personally, I'd love to be in a position where i could drop a 2JZ into a Falcon, but I'm not. It's all about being unique and doing your own thing. To Carl, old mate with the LS2 EB wanted that, whats wrong with wanting a 2J EL?

lol bunch of d***head...
the thread wasnt 'i want to get more friends by putting a 2jz in my ford'

the 2jz will fit no worries and will be not as hard as many will say.
if you can pull an engine out of a car and do some welding and wiring your set
its not the easiest thing in the world, but take your time and you'll be fine.

fords have it ok, exhaust and fuel lines are already on the right sides.
can use front sump from aristo (or rear sump from supra, if it fits the ford K frame?)
ditch the standard turbos and as said previously ebay manifold and GT35, add ebay cooler and some piping, etc etc supporting mods and your set.

engine mounts and gear box cross member will need to be fabricated, but arent the hardet thing to do. can make up a bracket that goes from the block to the stock K frame and can usually mod the standard (falcon in this case) gearbox crossmember to suit.

front cut will be around $3k these days
tailshaft will need to be custom or at least modded to suit.

if you have some cash and spare time, i say go for it!
im half way through putting one in a commodore, but im using straight gas and few other things that are making it easier.

Yeah i seen a price of a 2j half cut in zoom Mag for 3g but it is a few months old so price may have changed. But it would be quicker and easier to get a snort kit but a basic one is 3g. Just gotta work out wats better bang for buck. A 2j lightly modded. Like single turbo bit more boost etc nothing over top just an extra 100 kw over the factory 208 would be awesome.
Or the trusty 4l with a snort kit on it. What sort of power will a stock 4l bottom end handle safely?

Mate are you out of your mind.
f**k the toyota engine in a FORD. Go turbo on your ford & all the right mods you will see 10 sec. passes on the quarter mile all day every day. With the money & time you will spend why don't you go for a FORD V8 with twin turbo's. That guy how put a chev engine in a FORD SHOULD BE SHOT.

Do you know how much it costs to build a 10 sec 4L? And it is their own car, it isn't getting built to please anyone but the owner, so therefore, they can do what ever the fvck they want to do.
