What extra power would a set of Hurricane extractors with 2.5 inch high flow cat, retain standard exhaust, K&N Panel filter, AU XR intake snorkel.

What are these mods going to ad over the standard 162kw

IF its a I6 youd be proberly looking at 125-30rwkw at the wheels, thats just stock with extractors n cat n K&N

At 30% drive train loss, thats 180kw at the motor. Thats 18kw up with extractors/cat/standard exhaust, k&N. does that sound right? :?

mate hate to say it but extractors and hi flow cat and filter wont give you a bucketload of power. those are minor modifications, it will certainly help your car breath alot better and get the revs up quiker

your stock exhaust will be the bad point.
with a sports system, i'd guess roughly around 180kw@motor.

exactly right, no point having extractors n cat if you dont have the 2.5 let it breath

yes there are cams that will work with stock springs that are in good condition
the 1004 is one of them.

My point is the springs in your engine are extremely old. and are in no way suited to be used with any other then a stock cam.. infact i would not even put them back in if for some reason they had to come out. (head gasket change) new XR6 spec springs are very cheap from crowcams.

springs are about $135

no one cam is better then any other cam. it all comes down to what you out of it.

And a good point, cams are very person dependant.

I wanted a cam with a very agressive idle, and lots of lift where Id be worried about piston clearance lol... well, the RPD stage 3 did just that for me, but then there are people that wanna sit in traffic without people been afraid of them, so they choose something more mild, and tamed I guess.

Cheers
