skootin that dyno and description of mods was great!

My car is being sponsored by my dads business, so we are looking at mods, and that is a great piece of information.

I feel so sorry for all you auto boys, skootin's final as 120.75rwkw after all his mods, my car was 120.8 in relative stock form. Yes dyno's aren't dynos i know.

HI THERE, WHAT SHOULD BE NEXT ON MY LIST, WAS MAYBE THINKING BOUT HEAD AND CAM, AND WLL STANDARD COMPUTER HANDLE IT, I CURRENTLY HAVE 2.5 INCH MANDRUAL BENT, HURRICANE HEADERS, HIGH FLOW CAT, K&N AIR FILTER, LARGER SNORKLE.

hey, cool list, how much does it cost for the cam mods? Also, the extractors u put on, they were mild steel instead of stainless I assume? Are you worried about them cracking?

A wade cam will cost $122 + post, you will also need shims (around $50), lifter seals (around $15), rocker cover gasket ($15?) etc...

The extractors are mild steel yeah, not concerned about them cracking at all... I don't think anyone has had a problem really...

cool, If i was racing the falc then Stainless would be the shot, but it's more than double the price. You live in Melbourne right? Whered you get the extractors and exhaust fitted?

Will the pacemaker extractors bolt straight onto the cat? I've been told that there is some welding needed? If so this makes it pretty hard for the normal DIY project. Has anyone done the extractor upgrade as a DIY project?

Nah, the cat will need modification to fit up.
I reckon its easier just to go get a 2.5" cat - that way its nice and new as well.

What's this Fordmods Newbie all about? I've been on the forums since it was e-mail based...hmm, anyways... Is there much modifiaction needed or is there a flange that will convert the connection?

Usually they chop the stock front flange off the cat and fit one that works with the extractors. that's how they did my lukies and pacie comps.

:D on the DIY side of things , i've always thought the best part of fitting headers at home was the drive the exhaust shop to get them welded :D
at 150 db ,or are those days gone maybe :cry:

Somebody told me not to bother with a cam if the car is over 200,000kms? He said there is more strain on things due to extra power and not to bother with one?

My cars just hit the 215,000 mark but it drives like an absolute treat. Are there some parts that are just known for sh*ting themselves after a larger cam has been fitted?

Nah I put my cam in at around the 200,000 mark I think, and now I have around 215,000 still going great.
