Probably cost you about 7-9000 dollars depending on the condition of the new car you buy.
Get rid of it man! all you suspension will need replacing, your box is probably about to die, your engine is probably fairly rattly up top... Run it off a cliff

Run it off a cliff perhaps i should of elaborated a bit more.... my car isn't standard. i've got a new manual tranny koni shocks king super lows blah blah blah. end of the day the engine runs very smooth. from info i have gathered from mates the 100,000 200,000 300,000k services are major services. i just dont have much idea on who i should get it serviced through.

Run it off a cliff lmao - altho your quite correct in saying almost everything should be done, all the small stuff to susp to fuel pump/filter to tranny - the lot. $$$$

take it to ford and ask them what you should get replaced, then take somewhere else and get them things done.

If you have an Owners Manual, (Mine only goes up to 150,000, i assume EF would be the same) reading through the services should give you some idea what should be done.

The major service intervals are at 50,000km. The only additional item at 100,000km is the fuel filter - everything else in the long 100,000 service specification is inspect and replace if necessary.
A 'standard' 300,000km service would then be oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, plugs and replace or repack front bearings as needed. What others are suggesting is that when a car has done 300,000km, engine and transmission components that are not normally considered at a service might need looking at due to wear and tear, which will cost big $$$$. |
