Here's my recommendation FWIW:
- Diff oil: Redline Synthetic 80W140 Gear Oil (already has the additive for LSDs) - Brake Fluid - Dot 4 or 5.1 (NOT 5) with as high a wet boiling point as possible - preferably over 200C/392F. I use Motul RBF600 Dot 4 (wet boiling point 205C). It is also sold as "own brands" by some auto stores (same bottle and product, different label) - anything over 200C wet and 300C dry in a grey bottle is probably RBF600. - PS Fluid - Valvoline makes one especially for the Falcon called Formula F - Spark plugs - Autolite 985 is the plug JMM supply. I use them in both my XR6s. Fun fact: they are also used in the Dodge Viper V10 Don't know if the claim of more kw is true, but they do work fine, and are priced right, so no harm done. Enjoy your Falcon!

Diff needs about 1.6-1.7L of oil, so buy 2 litres.
Brake fluid I think takes about one litre. The manual says .95 litre for the power steering.

The BTR requires a specific formulation, so I'm not aware of many options for going to a premium fluid. But the standard ATFs available for the BTR seem to do a good job:
Penrite ATF LE Castrol TQ95 Mobil ATF 95LE etc. Nulon make a fully-synthetic Multi-Vehicle fluid that they say is suitable for the BTR, so this could be good. The last time I had my EF transmission serviced, the shop started with a standard Sinopec ATF (Dexron, I believe), and added an special BTR additive to make into a BTR fluid. Presumably, you could buy this additive and add it to any top-shelf ATF you wanted; but I haven't been able to find the additive available retail. Maybe it's a trade-only thing.

Here's a company that sells it in Australia, but it sounds like they sell it only to trade customers:
http://www.prostream.com.au/s.nl/it.A/id.96/.f Worth a shot anyway.

Go out and finance a VXII Clubsport R8 for the same coin and end up with a better car with better everything, and will still be worth something when your finished having fun Isn't this website called Fordmods? Why are we telling a bloke he's stupid to spend so much on modding his falcon and to buy a standard Commodore instead?

A basic exhaust/headers and cam shaft change will put you at around 330rwkw and it doesn't cost much. It's been proven over and over and over. |

UPDATE
efxr6wagon wrote: Here's a company that sells it in Australia, but it sounds like they sell it only to trade customers: http://www.prostream.com.au/s.nl/it.A/id.96/.f The additive is called Lubegard BTR ATF Conversion Formula in a 300ml bottle - enough to treat a complete transmission fill. http://www.lubegard.com/SearchByCategor ... n+Formula# I found a supplier in New Zealand: http://www.atpnz.co.nz/index.php The bottle cost me only NZ$20.60 (about A$16) plus courier, and it converts ANY Dexron-type ATF into a BTR ATF - so we are not limited to ATFs designed specifically for the BTR auto.
