back on topic - I vote the 4480s regardless of future power intentions. They will give power increase everywhere. Your ecu will learn and accommodate to suit. The 4499's are only good for tight space restrictions IMO.

If you ditch the exhaust & gut the cat they can't touch you? IF they think you have gutted your cat, they can fine you under EPA pollution laws for tampering with pollution gear, and if you ditch the exhaust you will also get a fine under EPA noise pollution laws as well. You can have a nice, loud but not too loud exhaust that flows well if you plan it a bit. It will also keep you out of trouble, or if you get sent in for a noise test, you will pass it without issues. ok i'm leaning towards the 4480 comps now ! i cant wait.
purely because every inch counts ! isn't that rite girls! like most men we buy based on the bigger is better theory. but heres a question ? do i need to get a tune up after getting the headers put on to maximise the new exhaust. or just leave it !my car had a tune up only 6000 klms ago!

The car will learn your driving style and habits and adjust accordingly. stupid question coming up ! but how do you reset the ecu ! i i know you take a lead of and maybe leave the car overnight! but wich leed do i take off. the only thing i'm worried about is when i purchased the vehicle " i did not get a pin code for my stereo ? so if i disconnect the battery i might not ever hear my music again . oh well! it has to be done. so yeah ! what leed do i take off. i reckon the positive ! does that guess put me in the stupid category or what. be kind!!!!

To reset the ECU just remove the negative lead from the battery and just leave it disconnected for 30 mins or so, you don't have to leave it off overnight but it's entirely up to you. The stereo code you should be able to get from a Ford dealer providing you give them the details they are after.

so i am a dumb a** ! only problem being it is an aftermarket unit ! but s**t happens !
prob time for a new stereo anyway ! it's only a $200 cheapy ! but it sounds good.

If it is an after market unit then it will not have a security code in it as it only applies to the Ford installed units at factory so will not be affected by the battery being removed.
