hi guys !
ok i'll be able to buy my extractors in the next two weeks with more overtime at work coming.
i have my 100 cpsi high flow cat already ! then i just have to save for the 2.5 inch cat back sports xzorst.
$400.00.

my car at present is a 4ltr auto bog stock au.( with body kit )mmm
at xmas i will be getting my 3.71 lsd fitted. with future plans are for a head and cam package.no time soon!!!!

ok it's crunch time !

4499 's $ 495.00
4480's $ 495.00 + $ 300.00 for ceramic coating.
wich extractors should i purchase ! i am aware that the 4499's are better for low down torque
and the 4480's are for mid to high power range !

my main aim is to just to get that nice deep exhaust noise !thats it!
do i purchase the 4480's and put them on my stock motor!

or should i do what most people say and put the 4499's on ! apparently there is a few issues that i will suffer from putting the 4480 comps on my stock motor. need help! i dont want to purchase the wrong ones! only 2 weeks left till i purchase them.

I think u should buy ur gear from this guy as its cheaper but yeh it dosent look as good quality as pacemaker but cheaper and very similar design

http://www.dkne.com.au/ford-falcon-6cyl ... p-235.html

Also u can ask him to make them in a 38mm primamry so u get more bottem to mid end power and torque

A good question, depends on where you want your power, lower down or up top?

I have 4499's on my EB, stock internally, a AC delco cat from a VS commy, 2.5" system with one straight thru muffler & a red back 2.5" resonator at the rear. The note isn't what i'd call bad, but it's not what i'd call a great 6cyl note either.

A cam will fix that, giving the engine a much nicer note & even more power than i have right now.

Cheers

if your going to put 3.7 gears in i wouldnt worry about low down torque coz you wont be there long

1) for $400 I hope the exhaust is staino not mild.
2) if your planning on a head and cam package get the 4480's saves putting them on later, I prefer JMM race series headers but thats just me.
3) if you want a deep note it will be all about muffler choice, every falcon I've heard with extractors has a rasp underneath the note of the exhaust.

My EB is a bit raspy.

For $400 i doubt the pipe is stainless. I was quoted $800 to make a stainless system for my mighty boy.

Cheers

I'd have thought you might have grown out of that by your age :D

It doesnt have to be loud to be fast 8-) a redback or similar system shoulnt set you back more than $300 fitted, or did the $400 include fitting the cat as well?

Before i fit the redback resonator up the rear, at idle my EB was reasonably polite, but when you provoked it to 3000rpm+, it woke the dead. :D That was fine until i was EPA'd.

Cheers
