Hey everyone,
I've had some time off work n brought a project to keep me busy its a ea spack with a bbm conversion and el interior and dash for $1000 with f**k head gasket well I sat down one night on the web n done some research on every 3.9l/4.0l engine ever made I've cracked the 170 rwkws mark using all stock parts expect for a j3 chip n pacemaker extractors n exhaust do is wat I used: Au bottom end Ea cam Tickford 94dt head (I had cleaned up the ports) Bbm manifold El computer with j3 chip Pacemakers 4499s 110 cell hi-flow cat 2 1/2inch exhaust with two mufflers (for abit of more back pressure) Xr6 fuel reg Au injectors 3" CAI pipe with el xr6 shorkel n hi flow filter Gasket kit And a full service A lot of people talk about the xr6 cam being the biggest stock cam but I lost 9 rwkws I just thought I wwould share my budget build I'm saving to build a new engine for a t66 that I have sitting in the shed so every cent counts

Nice work. There are a few people running ea cams in their e series engines

I've looked everywhere ea cams n I only seen 2 or 3 forums about it so I thought I would prove it once for all. My engine machinst recommends these as a cheap turbo cam for a budget turbo build

I was thinking the same. maybe he means 170hp which would be about 128kw

So the EA cam in my back yard out the early 88 model is worth something ?
Nah but seriously , I have read the AU E gas rods are the strongest , but how much power can they take ? Also have read the EF/EL rods are thicker then the AU rods though lol |

he "cleaned up his ports". I cleaned up the ports on my tickford head before I put it on, and I have a 977b dyno tuned. I should rip that out and throw in a ea cam by the look of that.

Does anyone have the specs on the EA cam? With that much potential out of a reasonably mildly modified engine, it sounds like something of a secret weapon. Thanks.
