was talking to a guy who works for C.O.M.E Racing, he reckons their 4.2Lt stroker Holden V6 can put out up to 300Kw at the flywheel...

First of all I dont know what needs to be done to reach this level but how far behind is the ford I6 from this???

i doubt a holden motor could get to 300fwkw

i reckon CMS's 4.8 would be putting out about 250fwkw? with stage 2 head and cam? (i think)

i reckon the 4.8 with the CMS stg 4 head and cam would be getting pretty close...

id imagine the holden 4.2 would have an idle that belongs in a V8 supercar?

yeah Im not counting the 4.8 because its kinda not availble yet....

head flow from the I6 head is upto around 360-385Hp....so thats really getting close to 300kw

I asked the guy what cam ud need to get 300 from the ecotec and he reckons 260, which I reckon is B.S.....more like full race spec as you say

I have seen an n/a VN V6 run a mid 13 quarter mile.. don't know how much power it had, but it was supposed to have had some fairly serious work done to it.

Don't bother, just LOL at the buick owner and mention he could have had a 304 out to 355 and running 10s for the same money he's spent on his 3.8.

I dont doubt the claim of 300kw...C.O.M.E are one of the best performance V8 builders around....

they may be only slightly exaggerating their claim....

and as regie says the formula holden has 350hp from 3.8....this is a 4.2 so that would equal 385hp (287kw)
