I am currently getting around 5.5km/L driving like a nanna. The EA is stock CPi. on the highway a few months ago the best i recorded was 510km to a tank but now im getting under 350. The falc runs cold because its got a new radiator and it never goes above the 1/4 area on the temp gauge (ie its cold). Could the computer be running it so bulk rich that my fuel ecconomy is this bad or what?

Could be the temp sensor is making it run rich because it still thinks it is warming up... but I doubt it.
I guess you have checked all the usual stuff like air filter and that. Could be oxygen sensor - dont know if falcons have diagnostic codes you can check yourself though like commos

Checking the thermostat is simple: put it into a saucepan of water with a thermometer and gradually heat it until it opens then check the temp on the thermometer. If it's close to the temp it's supposed to open at then all's well otherwise it's buggered and needs replacing.

Well known prob with CFI leaking injectors, make you run quite rich.
Check your air filter etc is clean

if you can see the injectors you may see fuel coming out when the engine is off and fuel pressure is still up. Otherwise take them out and get them tested.

My temp gauge sits right in the middle of the o in normal. Had a new radiator (apparently, think i may even have a receipt) when i bought it, and i replaced the thermostat and housing, so i think my cooling system is fine.
