Hi all, XG with XH XR6 motor, used old log manifold and stock ECU, I have sourced an EL XR6 auto ECU, 5TBD and want to know if this can be plug and play install or rather do I need to install the BBM, reset the base timing to 0 tdc, and modify XG loom to connect up the BBM? Thanks

I'd go the BBM with the VSV valve operating as well.
You'll be surprised how much torquier it is around the 50 - 80 kmh range. The engine hardware and ECU tune are then matched as well. Well worth doing.

"One other question. Been looking at Carter P4070 electric fuel pump: 272L/hour flow and 5psi pressure, would the flow be too ridiculous for the Tickford 4.0L?" Unless you intend to turbo or supercharge, the stock pump should suffice.
