Ahh, just the one wheel, thats sounds bout right.

Possibly the same, 3.08:1, or 3.23:1 which is even better. The diff housing should have a sticker on the drivers side axle housing facing the rear of the car with the ratio etc written on it.

A Ticky EL Futura? never heard of these? diff ratio would be 3.45, all EF2 and EL Ghias were Ticky motor and running gear.

I think you will find that your wrong - my 5.0l was not a tickford motor.

Tickford Futura V8 - look in my pictures - the red one

i would say if it was a ticky 5.0L it would have the 3.45:1 LSD in it, but not 100% on this, have a feeling that all not tickford 6's (excluding XR6) were the 3.08:1 open centre and tickys and XR's had the 3.45:1 LSD once again i could be wrong, but this is my understanding.

Im pretty positive you have it right mate.

Cant see ford shelling out for another type of ratio for the Xr8. They would logically (based on that assumption) have to be the same ratio as the XR6.

I know my falcon is only a 3.08:1 single spin *moan moan* its ok once you get moving but its useless anywhere else.

Maybe your 6cyc EF is faster becuase the 6cyc is quicker. I have never lost to any 5L V8
