3.73 LSD

you will need about $1200 roughly for a rebuilt LSD, good used gears, and new bearings & fitment etc.

have you got a set of extractors or sports exhaust on it yet??

if not you could get that done for around $800. will give a slight improvement in performance and also a nice sound....

or you could spend a feww hundred on a mild cam??

You'll get a second hand set of extractors and exhaust for ~$400 or even less.
Cam is $150 for a regrind after you send yours back to Wade, go for a 1673. Shims a few bucks from the wreckers, or if you can get a 2nd hand one they go for about $100-120 with shims.

I'd go for superlow springs next, ~$250. 4wd spec soft springs + more power is not a good combo, car will roll around and feel like its tank slapping everywhere.

Extractors, cat and exhaust are the easiest and probably the best thing to do but the AU engine conversion is also good if u do all the labour which will save u enough.

Id buy the extractors and exhaust from this dude as he is cheap and decent stuff

U can probably find cat abit cheaper if u look around but value for money u carnt go wrong with this dude

I recon bbm conversion and then zorst and extractors.. bbms have gotta be one of the cheapest best performing mods for boxcars with log manifolds IMO

High flow cat = waste of money at this stage.
Second hand exhaust and extractors ftw when on a budget.

Exhaust and cam would give you the biggest gains on paper.

+1 for regrind and exhaust.
with the 5spd it will be a good lil combo

certainly no point getting an AU engine or anything like that

my 2cents would be a used 3.45:1 diff from a xr6 and it wont increase hp but a decent set of swaybars would be a great investment.there no use having a million horsepower if you cant get it around a corner

Okay I'll tell you what I've paid for my setup so far:
Pacemaker 4480s - $130
Lukey catback exhaust with a new tip $150
Wade 1673 cam + shims, $110
BA XR6T snorkel - $36. I think its the XH snorkel you need as its larger than stock.
$0 for a random/custom 3" intake pipe. For a non BBM motor an EA rubber intake pipe is the go.
So about halfway of your budget.

$250 for a 3.45LSD from an EF XR6. You can get one from an ED XR6 for the same/less
$200 for a new J3 chip and burner package
$200 68mm throttlebody
$200 new king spring superlows
Thats the basics of my car, as you can see $800 went a long way. Theres other things like shaved head, shocks, vernier gear, clutch etc, but you get the idea.

Be smart with your money, just buy things as they come along, which is pretty often on the forums and ebay.

ALL of the fastest 6cyl falcons run the log manifold. except JMM but his BBM has had $800 worth of extrude honing.
