he then said my front disks are at bare minimum and just about needed to be replaced, i said ill call him back. so what i need to know is get them replaced by ford or get new 1 from somewhere else. but im not sure where they sell quality or even better disks then the ford 1's

i'd go else where personally. 80,000km's is very quick to ruin an exhaust and rotors... And since when do Ford sell/offer sports exhausts (I'm presiuming your car is being serviced at the Ford dealer)? Actually wouldn't the exhaust be covered under new car warrenty for rusting since it's under 100,000km's...?

and are rotors disk breaks? How old is the car? What is the car? I mean if you've bought a 60's model old Ford from a car yard that has only done 80,000km's it might have drum brakes... But since the mech has said you have front discs you could safely assume it has disc brakes.. |

Whatever you do don't spend 400 on genuine cow hide ford rotors. They are about as soft as leather and will wear out very quickly.
For far less than that you will be able to buy DBA standards or cross dilled or slotted or both. (about 130 a corner), A decent set of bendix pads, and you won't know your brakes anymore. As for the exhaust system, get a second opinion or get them to show you first, cos that sounds a lot like them tyring to rape your wallet to me. It definately

get intouch with hightek(?) brakes, one of the site sponsors, I recently get a set of front DBA ventialted rotors for a BA delivered to queensland from vic, $45 a rotor + $20 freight and I think a set of decent pads as well for a few $$ more.. way way more that ½ the price ford wanted even for just supply.
from meory for supply and fit for these was about $460 and 1 day. get the parts under $200, its an au so the rotors and piss easy to change, the pads damn easy as well, if you dont know how to do em pull em apart and take careful attention as to what goes where, remember cars are just BIG jigsaw puzzles.. If I can do it any muppett can do it.
