quite alright! at worst the car runs ok on 91 without ethanol, when im flush i use 95 or 98, figuring that the average ron would be 96 or 97 lol

i just spent over a few hours down my fuel depot-privately owned,all fuels can have up to 5% ethonol and OTHER sh@t to enhance ron figures and avoid taxes on premium fuel,and do the green thing to keep the polies happy-----not stated at pumps.they make a 95 ron enhanced-91 + ethonol = 95 ron with a rubber conditioner added---not required,but they do it.in the process they mash wheat stalks and husks and make O2--sold to BOC GASES,ETHONOL,MEDICINAL ALCOHOL-2 GRADES-PHARMACUTICALS,BREWERS MASH--BEER MANUFACTURE=========NO WASTE,PLENTY OF $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ EFFICENT.
ON ANOTHER NOTE-the ower went to brazil to check out the local set up where they used 85% and now 100% ethonol in the cars,they use sugar cane to make it and dump the slurry,or use it as fertilizer.there is a piggy back ecu to compensate timing and other issues,some of the cars used in the busness run on 85 ethonol and have big numbers travelled. =

I always thought that 91 was a more "raw" (i.e. not as refined) fuel as 98.

I get the same impression but perhaps that's just very good marketing from the fuel companies to make you think that plus the crap government As for your other post i am not going to respond because we have moved on, plus you and the other guy are moderators, I would have thought you would take a more diplomatic approach/accepting to a comments rather than taking the childish/dissing route. Anyways I am tired of discussing this, I will not be commenting any further on beating BA turbos but simply replying to any questions about fuels

Just a way of retrofitting without having to either baffle or replace underground tanks.

I know this is currently happening in metro areas. I know of 3 service stations alone around kingsgrove and Bexley that have been and are currently doing this.
1 of the station operators has shown me the setup and explained how it all works. Appears all certified and authorised as well as everything was tagged and had a service book too. But yep, i agree, dodgy as hell. Just another reason I go brandname servos.

Octane boosters such as Benzine, and Toluylene are not legal to put into unleaded cars....they poison the CATs.
You look at how much it costs to add booster to a tank of fuel....it ain't worth it.....so a little servo isn't gunna do the postmix thing....they'd be running at a loss.

i have found that bp ultimate has Methycyclopentadienyl Maganese Tricarbonyl which is a lead additive that also raises octane.. in return has turned my spark plugs rusty red...
