Hi guys

Got an EL that ive realized is going to be sticking around until i can afford to upgrade properly. Thinking about getting a DEV 3 kit posted over from jim mock and coverting to LPG/Petrol system. Anything that i should know about / would be amore cost effective way to get a little more power and economy?

Thanks for taking the time.

i hear jim mock stuff isnt that flash... i dunno exactly wat that kit consists of but i would say just stick with a basic set up... extractors, 2.5 cat back system and hi flow cat if u got the extra cash ..

then start looking at CAI and a cam (i would say WADE cam as i hear nothin but good things).... not much else to do unless u start getting a bit more serious with the engine... oh and bigger air piping from air box to TB, go for 3" gives better responce..

then start looking at lowering to xr6 height or even superlows.... that should just about spend all the money u wanna spend haha GL

id have a look at Crescent Motorsports head and cam packages first. they are great bang for your buck, and they also work on the standard ECU.

and as effalcongli said, lower it to low/superlow height, make it breathe better, and you'll be laughin :)

oh and welcome to fordmods!

mmm a dev kit. i do not recommend that budd. 1 they're not as good as "they" claim and 2 if you get it sent over and you have an issue or a problem lets just say for example how would you get it fixed??? I've been there, done that and lost :-(

Wow, that was a fast response!
Thanks guys for the info, thought the JM kits were a little too good to be true. Ill take a look at crescent, and are there any fellow sandgropers that know of a good (or bad) local mechanic? Any advice on LPG conversion (products, workshops, potential mods, etc)
Thanks again

i have jmm gear myself! Must say im happy enough with it all! i will agree that it is pricey! As age as come along i have changed bits of the dev 5 kit out and gone different!

As for cresent i aint delt with them but they have a good rep!

Some of they guys and girls here are on the money! Absolutely nothing wrong with getting bit by bit and getting what ya want!

thats my 2 cents

All the best with playing with ya chariot and welcome aboard!

Hey guys
Thankyou for your suggestions, given me a bit to think about over the last couple of days. The main problem seems to be location, as pretty much everything i look at will need to be posted over.
Come up with a list of sorts:

JMM DEV3 (-headers, +ultra flow intake)
4499 Pacies
CAPA 90-105 throttle body
Parnell DI LPG kit

Comes to 7k . Any comments/suggestions/additions? And how much is lowering going to help my car?
Thanks again.

Just got a Lukey ultra flow catback, SS CAI and KnN filter for 460 fitted. Sounds a whole lot better than stock, and it feels better too. Had too much negative feedback about JMM to give them money. Not going to lower the car, need to carry a fair bit at times. Realized prob dont need the throttle body either.
Next up is the 4499 and hi flow cat. thanks for your suggestions, really appreciate it, and if anyone can tell me where i can buy 3" intake pipe thatd be great.
