hi, anyone know how to test the electronic ignition module i have no spark so i figure its either the eim or coil as there is power to the coil thx

Hi,
The module on the side of the Dizzy is a common failure. I would replace it first, and if it is the Coil, ( possible but would be a rare fault ) at least you will have a spare. The Coils are prone to cracks and then failure in wet weather. The Dizzy module is a common fault, if you replace the whole Dizzy, cheap copies can have a dodgy drive gear and can damage the drive shaft. Regards 96ELGli

hi
thx 96ELGli it did turn out to be the coil but i appreciate your wqillingness to help. i figured a simple way to test the module simply curcuit the low tension coil pos and neg through a light bulb crank motor if light goes of and on then the module is ok .. cheers |
