Have a search for the wade cams thread on here and ask there.
It's a looong thread but a read through may find this question aleready asked and answered. Plenty of info searching 977b too.

It will go good with auto . The 977b is usually ground at 112 lsa . Having it at 114 lsa suits the auto .
I had one @ 114 in a manual and went great .

you will need shims, contact Wade Cams and ask them how many unless another member is willing to devulge that info.

It will learn it self , but having a custom tune will get better results

With a 114* LCA, it is more suited to boosting.......will give a smooth idle.

I have the exact cam in my engine. What a perfect cam for everyday driving.
Makes excellent power & torque. Yes you will need a extra shim on top of the lifter. Speak to Jason at T.I Performance for a J3 chip. He has a preprogramed chip for this cam. It will fix the idle issues. Enjoy. You will not be disapointed.

whats lsa? and will having 114 lsa instead of 112 give less power or just come onto power differently ?

lsa is Lobe Seperation. It makes the cam have less overlap which means smoother idle.
Will also make power cam on smoother (flatter power curve). Wide lsa is good for turbo engines & auto's with std converters.

Hey I just got one of these, can't wait to install. At present, I have the standard pre-programmed J3 installed from BPR, will it cope with this new cam? or would it be better to remove it, and allow the computer to adjust??

Hmm... I have a 3.23 diff, will be installing new chip today tuned for cam, but read on another forum this morning that the 977B works best with 4.11 ratio, and the 1673 cam is preferable for higher gearing... Thoughts?
