Hi there. Hope this info helps.
1. Try this link. It's got all the info. documents.php?d= 2. The fuel filter is located on the chassis near the firewall, below the intake manifold. You'll have to crawl underneath and disconnect the hoses to replace it. Make sure you block off the fuel lines from the tank or it'll leak everywhere. 3. The clutch is tightened at the firewall. There's a nut that adjusts slack. A repair manual would be handy to refer to. 4. Here's a link about pinging and what causes it. ford-4l-and-6-cylinder-f1/what-is-pinging-t88701.html?hilit=engine%20pinging

Sorry, I'm not sure what happened with the link.
If you go to 'Resources' at the top of the page, then 'Technical Documents'. Scroll down the page to find 'Changing cams on a Falcon 6' (under 'Falcon/Fairmont/Fairlane - E-Series'). I just use a bolt of similar diameter in both fuel lines from the tank and a hose clamp on each. The pedal height should be 140 +/- 3mm from the floor pan (supposedly without the carpet). The force of the pressure plate throw is determined by the 'springiness' in the diaphragm fingers. You won't be able to change where the clutch grabs. With most heavy duty clutches, the clutch is either engaged or disengaged. Riding the clutch is not an option with these. What's the condition of your clutch cable? A worn, kinked or frayed cable can mess up your pedal action.
