a quick google search has brought up "timing advance procesors".

No I don't know what that advance box is but a gas or taxi service mob should know.

98 and gas is the way to go as the RONS are very close.

As I said my base timing is 18 and no probs, got the right note out the pipe, starts easy, no pinging.
Should of done it years ago!

OK, SO 18 degrees timing is good for LPG and 98? And i just drive around and see if it pings?

Well it's good for my bus, but as I said you should make the test as see for yourself.
Timing light and vacumm gauge old school!!

Those timing advancers usually operate off a crank angle sensor, so not really compatible with a dizzy ignition.
Your best result would be to run a dual spark map ECU, like the Tickford gas cars ran.

Be fairly hard to find though.

Can i advance my timing for LPG to 16-18 degrees?? And if i run propane can i advance it more??

Doesnt the EL use a dizzy? thought timing could be done with a J3, or are these examples without J3?

I have a J3 with 98RON tune, and its terrible in my car. Cant work out whats going on.

EL's Do have dizzy and i am talking about adjusting the timing with the dizzy
