there is only one thing i would consider buying from jmm and that is the cams....
but then i would most likely buy a wade regrind for far less... id only go a very mild port, which is something basic that anyone can do..so no need for jmm there either.. jmm extractors seem to be lacking in quality..

the exact reason i asked on here is i know they dont reveal their secrets... i was hoping maybe someone had bought one and had it flow tested.

No question the JMM cams are powerhouses, and the fact that they can get them to run with the stock ECU is even better. As for the extractors (and all their other gear) they have put a lot of R&D into the right design to suit their cam / head combination ...yes, they are only made from raw steel and look a little rough compared to Pacies etc ...but they perfectly complement the JMM kits ...and a nice ceramic coating (which I think they offer as an option anyway) would tidy them up no worries!

I saw pictures of a dev5 head and the quality of the work and finish was by far the worst I had ever seen.

I'd say it's timing chain slap, Dev5s have a bit of a reputation for it.
Not sure if theres a fix.

put a stronger spring i the timing chain tensioner, i have seen other inferior 4l cam profiles that cause timing chain rattle... if the lobes are designed as nice as they should be then you dont get the rattle

definatly sounds like chain slap, get it fixed before you have to fix guides.

Ok so there is a mixed responce about JMM, I was looking at one of their kits (DEV3/DEV3hl) I thought the prices were a lil high but since they do the whole package fitted and tuned in the one day seemed alright.
Can anyone recomend any other workshop with same sort of services in the melbourne area to check out? Cheers P.S. Interested to see how the money back situation would work out for ya..
