hey, just wondering can u rebuild the ef air con compressor????

You can, but no place will as they are too hard to get right and they wont guarantee their work. Although I have pulled a few apart and it seems simple enough. You really need to find out where the compressor failed first before even thinking of doing it.

Then again most wreckers sell them for between $100-200. Trouble is to tell if it is stuffed you need to put it in your car get it gased and play the waiting game.

If you do go to a wrecker tell them you want to see it in situ first. Pull off one of the fill valve tops (just like an over size tyre valve) and see if you can get any gas out. Gas = good compressor.

I've rebuilt an XF one, never looked at an E series though.
