can get ya a condensor for $170 or so... thats excl install. you'd have to get that done elsewhere, or do it yourself
edit: thats brand new as well.

$160 incl tax for a new condensor - but i need to know which model it is - i'm told there are 2 types. i'm also told its an easy fit - but the bumper needs to be taken off - hehe and you know how much fun that is azza! well i've gotta do the radiator as well - so maybe we do it together next week? wed or thurs or something? i wont be working then... let me know ASAP so i can get the condensor ordered...

a condensor shouldn't be too hard to fit your self, it may requirt to take off the bumper though then you just need a re-gas, as for the evaporator take it to someone else this is a complete pain in the a*** which consists of removing the whole dashbord just to get to it.

just fitted a new compressor to my EF Falcon. Comp cost me $480.00. New receiver dryer was $15.00. When I removed the old comp there was a s**t of aluminium filings in the HP line. I have a mate that is an aircon guy, we flushed the system into a plastic bag....man it was full of aluminium filings that would have not only blocked the TX valve but would have stuffed the brand new comp. So my long answer to your question is...yes. If your going to cough up 5 undy for a new comp don't risk stuffing it by running the crap from the system thru it.
