anyone know an approx price on how much it will cost to get my aircon regassed, and converted as i have the old system, got to work out how much$ to save

Had to get my EA converted and regassed. Pretty sure it was around the $200 - $250 mark. Was a few months back so I cant remember exactly :P

to convert old gas to new gas all you need is to change the 2 fittings on your lines. the new gas will run on the old system without a problem. I doen this on my 89 Sonata regassed it about 4 years ago with the new gas only changing the fittings. i got it to 0.1 degrres at the vents. The car belongs to a mate of mine now and the a/c works as good as ever.

Get to know your local mechanic and a re-gas will only cost ya a carton :D

You'd be lucky to find anyone still regasing with R12 (old stuff) It might cost you a bit more, but getting it converted to R134 will be better in the long run.
