is it posible to get a high flow air filter for el fairmont? my ford has the torque but not enought throttle responce. any other things i could do?

Yeah mate get ur self a k & N panel filter and a bigger snorkel or if you can heat shield it a pod does the job better i've found thats what i have got installed on my xr6 but either way would help i think.

yeah thanx 4 the info. have you got any pics of the heat shielding for the pod. i might go that way.

i found putting a pod inside my air box worked best, noticably better than the panel...

ahh ok. would it be better to get a larger snorkel for the filter box. to alow more air flow aswell for the pod?

yeah putting it in your box is the best if you do a search for sequncial airbox setups you can find pics of a guy who makes special airbox lids and a special scoop to put in were your bonnet grill goes and it jets cold air straight onto your pod i may even have his email address not sure
