how do i know if i have a k & n air filter on my EB. what is there to tell one of them from a $12 one visually

that and look at the code on it....
should be some writting on it some where
if it doesnt say a brand on it, it might have a code like
vo7, A1209

(thats valvoline and i forget the other brand starting with r) ryco :S ?

if you post the part number i can get you what it is... on sunday at work

As Interceptor said, K&Ns are pink cotton stuff covered with mesh, and the el-cheapos are made of paper, like Year 7 science filter paper! :D

I seriously dought, that it would have the sticker unless it was put in by a company for the use of advertising ot by the previous owner.

You get a free sticker in the Box, and you have to put it some where I put mine in front of the Intake.

haha alper you egg thats off my car! gave me 5kw at the wheels at least (you can see it peeling where alpz tried to take it off..maybe he wanted the extra kw???)...umm with my k&n air filter it had a big K&N logo on the top plastic also the material has metal mesh around it to protect. i dont know if other brands have this or not...the metal i mean

it wasnt me ok, Eugeene wanted to stick that on his folder,
and all air filters have the metal mesh thing ur talking about around the filter (pod) or on top of it (flat panel)

oh ok as if it was eugene...its so you! another thing came to mind.. on the link where the ends of the material meet to form the pod its connected with a piece of metal..that metal has k&n writen along the length of it aswell
