I need a new air intake for the ef the big d**k looking dual tank thingy is craked down the centre so its time to upgrade. I really can't justify $400, (i can but im a tight a**) to buy the 3" intake from di fillipo. Anyone know of a similar item or anyone who makes them on the side for a resonable price.
If not does anyone happen to have the specs on the size, bends and angles of the intake so i could get one made.....

i could try my mates pipe bender but it wont be mandrel bent so i suppouse it would really be counter productive because of the restrictions in the intake.

i've got some pics here of what my pipe work looks like.... but the only ones on my pc are from intercooler and exhaust systems i've done.

i'll get some of the latest setups and post them up soon.
one is nice exhaust for a XB 351 i built the engine a while back and did the exhaust too. nice 3inch single.

one is a basic custom dump pipe and screamer pipe for turbo conversion i did on a 180SX with an RB20

It's just a straight peice of 3" exhaust pipe from the air box lid with a tin bracket poprivet on one side, then a chrome 90* mandrell bent pipe with has been belled/flared out on one side to fit into the EL black rubber peice (had to keep this as my LPG mixer is in it).
The black flexi hose I used is some special stuff which can withstand heat and has a wire spiral in it to keep it rigid and that - at the moment it is longer than needed and so is covering up a bit of the metal pipe - in reality the air is actually only flowing through about 30mm of the black flexi tube! didn't bother cutting it yet incase I had to go back to my old air intake system.

Anyways, jsut thought I'd post it up as I'm far to poxy to justify forking out $200+ for one that prolly would be no better performance wise. Main reason I made this one is the LPG backfired and blew up the stock plastic factory one lol!

O, I think fuzion is also selling a mandrell bent intake...
