ah k sweet i just painted the part on the top of the rocker cover on the ef with plastic primer and normal black spray paint will this hurt at all?

Why did you paint it with Plastic Primer? The rocker cover is Cast Aluminium. Strip it and paint the b**ch with etch primer then use Engine Enamel.

Good stuff the ss snorkel will help with air flow and maybe over time look at another intake pipe?

I have the BA intake which is the same as what ef_falcon_95 posted up before. It seems to be the best factory option and easy enough to fit on. The difference won't be huge it's more trial for what you run I think it was bout 50 bucks from ferntree gully wreckers.

Back on the "pod" topic for those of you who have done it.
Looking at the photo posted of the airbox with the pod inside the pod filter does not seem to have any extra surface area than a standard panel filter. Makes all that effort kinda pointless in my opinion when you can just slap in a panel filter.
Easiest way to size up your intake is to work backwards starting at the valves calculate the required airflow and work back from there. But in this case were not changing any component of the actual engine work back from the throttle body as that is the last component.
Captain Obvious here is not to restrict this opening but lots of people go overkill on this.
Whatever the size of the throttlebody is dont have any part of the intake flow less than that component. Bends, flanges / joins, intake sound deadning piping can all restrict to an extent.
Larger bends & flanges / joins ad removal of sound muffling ( that pipe in the top of the airbox most of you have cut off already) can all help flow.
A high flow filter has larger holes in its body as such resemble an opening closer to the size of the throttlebody.
Snorkels are great in so many ways and I think Ford have done a pretty close job at size matching this you can always take a stanley to the opening if your keen you may pickup .001 Kw.
Just DONT put a pod below the airbox & behind your bar as it will turn into a straw!! and suck up water.... You may think its obvious but I have seen it a few times..

Gee thats a novel and a half...
