I just went down to the wreckers to look for a single pipe air induction for my pod filter.

well i found exactly what i was after but they want $55 for it... (excluding airbox)

anyone know where else to get these cheap? plastic or metal...

$55 is about what you pay for an EL air pipe like that... I payed $30 for mine but that was without the little piece of flexi-pipe to join the two solid sections. You can get crome, 3" mandrel bent pipes specially made up fir around the $100 mark at most exhaust places

still paid too much... my complete induction (rubber neck/ribbed rubber section and the two patic pipe bits sold for $20 on ebay ready to bolt on... :wink:

whils on the topic of intackes, i got offered a xr twin intack with the ticford badge on it fot $100 good or bad :?: :?:

I purchased mine off of a guy on these forums. It would be all good if I could find a goddamn piece of flexi-pipe to fit in between the two solid bits! But like Fordfreak said, I probably payed a tad too much... :(

heres my setup

will cost you about 120ish for the stainless pipes and the silicone bend

my air intake on my EF is like a bbq hotplate over my engine :cry:

thanks mate, yeah it does help as there are no more restrictions in diametre...
even if it only gives you an extra couple of kws, i would do it just for the look!

yes..looks and performance wise you stand to gain a lot... and lose lil.. :D is definatly worth the trouble...-of which is not much... i also vouch for the 3 inch intake mod... :wink:

is it better to go stainless if doing that intake mod or can you go mild steel if ya want pipe that whole way round to the throttle body.

You can get stainless all the way around... People simply use stainless because it looks nicer and lasts longer.
