hello

I own a EL 6 fairmont ghia, I've ran into a lil problem. i took the main fuse out and put it back in, and now the airbag light flashes a fair few times then stays on. Tryed disconnecting the battery for 15 mins to reset everything but nope it still come on.


Does anyone know of a way to fix it??????

Gotta reset it, generally it means theres something at fault, check all the fuses, then do a self diagnostics test on it, procedures can be found in tech docos.

and if that fails just pull out the globe and it never lights up again.. :p

Try this buddy;

1) Switch ignition on

2) When airbag warning lamp stops flashing or chimes stop, connect a wire between the diagnostic connector 4th from top left and earth it out on the chassis.

3) After 5 chimes have been heard , remove the wire and switch the ignition off.

This process clears the airbag memory.
