Code Clearing # 1) Switch the Ignition On # 2) Allow the Code to be Displayed. # 3) Apply a Short Circuit to the Airbag Memory Clear Pin of the Diagnostic Connector to Ground (See above Picture for further details). # 4) The Code will be cleared after 5 Beeps have sounded. Repeat the Above untill all the required codes have been Cleared. That should do the trick. If it happens after that then you have a fault with the airbag. |

Its the pins I used and it worked. I had airbag flashing lights and it those two that stopped it.
I heard the 5 beeps that told me it was clear with those pins. Make sure the wire is making good contact with the pins and is not broken in the middle. I ripped the wire from a fan in my computer case. |

I check the Ford factory manual and the lower pin on the LHS as indicated is the ground pin.
The picture is correct. |

ive just had it come up again for the second time about 2 weeks ago, last time i just left it and about 2 months later it went away, so i guess it will disappear again in a short while. also where abouts are these pins located? incase it doesnt go away this time

Perhaps something is wrong with your airbag system warranting the light to illuminate a second time in as many weeks?
Or is that too obvious? |

xr Rob, is your car EF or EL as the above procedure will not work in an EL.

clock spring in the steering wheel could be crook.
the airbag fuse will most likely blow also. the computer does this so the airbag dosent' accidently deploy.

Plug the battery back in and see how it goes. |
