I guess our best (only?) option would be to get cams from hybrid XR6's.

I've been talking to Wade, and they haven't been to helpful with the answers we're after (they've been very helpful nonetheless).

I don't think it was was an AU cam that snapped the rockers, it was an EL wade cam or something that didnt fit at first so they forced it and that broke the rockers.

Someone put an AU cam in and it made the motor run rich as all f**k (read: run like a bucket of pus)

the next option is possibly to try the crow cam which looks like it might be made to suit the EL hybrids as well as the AU's.

see my other post in the hybrid EL thread.

Did it snap one rocker or all of them??

If it snapped only one, then that would be a fitment issue. Coz, if it were the wrong cam it would snap all of them as soon as you cranked it over.

Fit doesn't always mean "work fine"

http://www.fordmods.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=41320#41320

That AU cam definately didn't work fine.

With the cam snapping rockers etc, if you read that post you will see its because they tried fitting a wade 1004 which is an EL cam these WILL NOT fit AU's and hybrids.. different ratios.

Maybe talk to JMM, he does EL's aswell.
Or remove your current cam from your engine, take it into the Wade and have them grind that one, then put it back in with an extra set of shims?

You could, but I wouldn't without having a spare cam as backup.
