this has been covered hundreds of times before, but i dont mind i cant handle spending hours going through the search button either.
anyway, this is going to be my opinion ONLY, and i feel after a recent topic was posted some people will disagree with me, and some will agree. 1) i found when i got mine put on it changed the note alot, however i got highflow cat on at the same time, so i would expect a little change, if keeping the same cat. 2) i have the 4480's and i beleive (solely from my experience) that they are more for top end gains. i noticed very little down low, however quite a bit more up high. but be ready for opinions from the otherside. ha ha.

i agree extractors will change the note you get, so will a hi-flow cat.

you will get mixed reactions all round about the 4499's although most seem to say that they give more top end power over bottom end.

Your note will definately change, it sounds smoother
I feel i gained more high end and lost some low end with my ph4499's. With the stock headers going around a corner, and punching it, would see wheel spin. Now do the same thing it grips, but pulls hard though the rev range. The dyno says there are 3rwkw more.

I've got Pacie 4480's (Comp) extractors on mine. They're very nice
You definately get a good kick when the top end come in. You'll find the formation is different between the 2 4480 (Competition) = angled and swept back more in a tri-Y style setup. 4490 = more downward positioned piping. Not sure if it effects the note as yet though.
