Excuse my straight down the line approach but dyno figures are s**t. Its a f**k tuning tool not a comparitive measuring tool to be used against others in such variable conditions

I agree. Times mean everything.Dyno numbers are great for dyno days only.

All i'm saying is that if you would like to make some money from this business venture of yours, be proactive and actually run the car down the quarter mile. I agree that a dyno is only a tuning tool, yes. But to say that "wow, this cam gives the car some extra herbs!" and continue to plug the power of the car, back up your fiction with some proof. I do not disbelieve in your products at all, quite the opposite. However, i would like to see what this cam is really capable of. I know that This post will again be taken the wrong way and that i shall be flamed, but the team at ALTED should acknowledge this is constructive criticism and not simply an attack on their product.

Well they did, dc_todd ran the Stage 1 down the 1/4.
I'm sure if he wasn't in an accident the Stage 3 would be down there soon.

I'll run my stage 3 down the 1/8th mile, only because i have never run a 1/4 mile. and i've got before dyno runs, so i'll do an after dyno run too.

car was to be put down the ¼ on wednesday this week, sadly the way she sits now the only way it will get down is pushed and no cam can help that ET only Wheat-Bix.. the stage 1 with only the cam, and K&N panel filter did 2 15.9's and 1 14.7. on the eastern creek circuit, pre cam I was running 2.05 laps, after cam mod, and nothing else, no springs nothing had been changed ONLY the cam, 1 was hitting 1.58's all day. it was consistant. I had not run the car in stock on the ¼ only the track.. I've been driving circuits for years. I know the track I know the car, I know the improvement, this has been stated in many other posts on this topic of ALTED products, I am again stating it here, I only want to give the facts of the products as well.. I call a spade a spade. I ain't gonna try and BS to ya that this will cust seconds off your ¼ times, it cut seconds off my lap time, I know where to brake I know where to turn I know where to get on the gas, I know when to endorse a bloody good thing. I ain't putting s**t on you, these are the simple facts of the cams. I've got bum steers before on products. This gear is good and I want to share how good it is.

I will have another car on the road very shortly, it will cat warmed over by some ALTED gear almost imediatly, if it takes me a drive to gosford to show you why its good stuff.. then bugger you. you can meet me ½ way and find out for yourself. :)
dead serious,
if people want to make ill informed comments, without reading previous threads or reading testimonials, I don't take things at face value, I find what I can about em, ask questions, don't be a tool talk to people..

I agree times do talk for themselves...

WSID 14.7 best ET 14.9 on 2 other runs.
Eastern Creek Circuit pre cam -2.05 laps.
after cam mods -1.58 laps.. all day!

since been juiced up further, had it not been for a POS honda odessey, I know all these times would be put to shame. some stage 3's have been sent to other customers, let em get em in and wait and see what they can do..

I'm not trying to be a prick about anything, but the info you wanted stated has been previously stated multiple times.
do some research before slinging s**t round, cause you may not like where it lands..

If I get another XR I want the full body kit, and at least a st of FTR's. 15's are good for rubber costs, but whack em on the tracks and there is too much wall movement.. then again a fairmont Ghia with a manual conversion is not a bad idea either

it was a beautiful thing.. possibly the best or one of the best examples of an EF XR6 I have ever seen, and I have spent many days looking for cars.
