Paint stripper, easiest way to do a rocker cover i found. Wipe on with a brush, wait 10 minutes and hose the paint off.

Dont know about brand, but bunnings maybe?
After you get the paint off, polish with autosol, then wipe over with wax & grease remover, then spray on some good quality clear gloss to seal it, or you'll be continually polishing it up to keep the finish. |

Dont know? Im guessing under all the paint its already smooth enough to polish, Autosol polish will eat through light rust and tarnishing.
Sanding will only leave lines in it that will add more hours to polishing them out. I guess if theres spots where they are really bad use the finest sandpaper with some water to minimize scratching, less work to polish afterwards. Post some pics up when your done!! |

Yeah ive debated for a while whether to polish up the ole rocker cover, but im not to sure about it. I guess it kinda makes it look like the old school motors which is a good thing, but currently im happy having it bright red

powerfile to start with then finer grades of wet and dry...... till it's super smooth then polishing and finally sealing.
